Get to know Kyra

B.S., Haverford College

Kyra grew up in Carlisle, PA and stuck around in Pennsylvania until she graduated from Haverford College in 2025. At Haverford, Kyra worked under the guidance of Professors Leah Seebald and Sam Shepard to design isoxazole–2H-azirine isomer pairs for controlled photoisomerization. She also spent a summer working on enantioconvergent nickel catalysis under Professor Gregory Fu at Caltech. In her free time, she enjoys making new art for her apartment, hiking (despite living in Chicago), and treating herself to the Lunchbox food truck outside of Searle.
